Schedule

Three moments: meet, make, show.

Meeting party and theme selection

Meet the community, form teams, and select the theme before the build begins.

Jam starts

Teams begin building around the selected theme, with the venue open until 22:00.

Final build and closing ceremony

Teams build from 10:00 until the 20:30 submission deadline. The closing ceremony runs from 20:30 to 21:30.

Nicolas is a cinematic director and cinematic lead who brings game stories to life through performance, camera, and pacing. Who can join?

Developers, artists, designers, writers, musicians, students, studio teams, and curious first-time jammers. You do not need to be a professional game developer.

What is the Da Nang Jam community mission?

Our mission is to grow an open, welcoming game development community in Da Nang where Vietnamese and international creators of every experience level can meet, share skills, collaborate, and have fun. We believe making games together can create friendships, creative confidence, and opportunities that continue long after the jam ends.

Do I need a team?

No. You can come solo, bring a team, or meet collaborators at the Friday meeting party.

When does the actual build start?

The build window starts Saturday, August 1 at 10:00 and ends Sunday, August 2 at 20:30.

Can teams use AI tools?

AI code assistance is allowed. AI-generated final art assets are not allowed. Teams may use AI for programming help, debugging, technical research, and private ideation, but all submitted visual assets must be created by the team or used under a valid license. Teams must disclose any AI tools used.

Who owns the games created at the jam?

Participants and teams retain ownership of their original work. Da Nang Jam claims no ownership rights over submitted games, and any third-party assets remain subject to their respective owners’ licenses. With the participants’ explicit permission, Da Nang Jam may showcase a game, its description, screenshots, footage, or an approved playable version for event archives and future promotion.

Best Game, Best Gameplay, Best Visuals, Most Innovative, and Best Use of the Theme will be selected by the organizers and speakers. People’s Choice will be decided by a vote open to all attendees.

Can companies support the event?

Yes. We are looking for partners for funding, food and drinks, ceremony support, prizes, marketing, and community outreach.
